Hey Gang! ChopsAngeles here with another hair product review. This week I’m trying Hi-PRO-Pac – Moroccan Mend (trademark) Agran Oil: Deep Repair Hair Masque. It is available at CVS, Walgreens, and Target for $3.99 or less. It is also available on Amazon. The packet is 1.75 oz, so if you have a shorter beard, you will definitely get several uses out of it.
Per the description on the back, it is “formulated with Moraccan Argan Oil and effective for use in the treatment of dry, brittle, and overworked hair. Replenishes moisture to revive tired, lifeless hair.
It also says the “key ingredients” are:
- Argan Oil: regenerating, restructuring, and hydraating for healthier hair.
- Wheat Amino Acids: Powerful moisture binding; improves sheen.
HOW TO:
Step 1: wash beard thoroughly removing any beard oil/conditioner build up, etc. Pat the beard to dry it a little, but leave damp. Do not blow dry.
Step 2: put on a shirt you don’t mind getting conditioner all over, or wrap a towel around your neck and shoulders like a barber’s smock. It’s going to be a little messy. Obviously, if you are in the shower, you do not need this step.
Step 3: open product and put a good amount of conditioner in your palm and rub both hands together.
*NOTE: This particular conditioner has a light powder-like scent when first opened. I did notice that the scent faded somewhat as the conditionr processed in my beard. It is not nearly as strong a scent as previous condiioners I’ve reviewed for this blog.
Step 4: Start by applying it to the ends and tips of your beard first since this is the oldest and driest part of your facial hair. Then work your way up to the beard hair roots. DO NOT RUB INTO YOUR SKIN. Doing that may cause pore clogging and a skin breakout. Then, take a comb or wet-brush and run it through your facial hair lightly to ensure all strands of hair are covered. (As I’ve mentioned before, I like to “style” my ‘stache out of the way so that I can use a straw to drink something while the treatment processes.) Leave in for 2 to 5 minutes. I left it in for the full 5 minutes.
Step 5: Rinse thoroughly!
I found this one to work well for rehydration to the hair. It also made the waves a bit more apparent which was nice.
For the freestyle beardos out there, this would definitely work to help the hair re-saturate after styling for a beard competition.
I give it a 4 out of 5 whiskers!
Of course, after rinsing out, use your usual beard care daily routine by oiling it. I personally use Pulpo Beard Oils. They have great scents and saturate the hair well.
